Training Fellowships

To encourage research that will deepen our understanding of the health, labor supply, behavioral, and other economic or policy implications of retirement and/or disability, the NBER Retirement and Disability Research Center (RDRC) offers pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships.

Post-Doctoral Fellowships enable outstanding early-career economists to visit NBER’s Cambridge office for a year of intensive research

Pre-Doctoral Fellowships provide support to doctoral students for independent research at their home university, with supervision from their dissertation advisor.

Application materials are posted in the fall for the following academic year with a deadline of mid-December.

For information about other RDRC Training, see SSA Centers.
